GLAZING

GLASS

Safe, tempered 4mm glass.
Widely used in construction, carpentry, household appliances. Tempered glass is 5x more resistant to temperature changes than ordinary window glass. When ruptured, it crumbles into small fragments with blunt edges.

Advantages:

  • 5-6x stronger than ordinary glass
  • Safe. Shatters into small pieces on impact
  • Transparency
  • Without deformation
  • Its material characterization do not change
  • Aesthetics
  • Easy maintenance
  • Resistance to temperature fluctuations

Flaws:

  • High thermal resistance coefficient
  • Impact resistant

POLYCARBONATE

Advantages:

  • The polycarbonate top layer protects against UV rays
  • Optically transparent
    Extremely impact resistant
  • The thickness of the polycarbonate sheets dampens the sun’s rays, which prevents the risks of burning the plants
  • Sheet parameters provide good thermal insulation, extending the growing season of plants
  • 10-year warranty

Flaws:

  • Not intended for installation without windproof fasteners
  • Must be maintained – the surface is covered with dust, dirt, which interferes with the penetration of sunlight into the greenhouse
  • Care should be taken carefully with water – without splashing or scratching
  • Polycarbonate slightly dampens sunlight, i.e. in spring and autumn, when the sun’s rays are less, there may not be enough light
  • !Incorrectly gluing technical tapes on polycarbonate sheets can accumulate dirt, insects, moisture and grow algae/moss.
